POSTCARDS

Dear nygårdsanna,
We have arrived at the Villa Buonvisi together with our co-creators, all are excited for the workshop to start. When we were walking in the city, we met this beautiful woman and her daughter, and we asked them if they would like to model for the workshop, we are all so excited to capture them in your clothes among the olive trees.
Our participants are an interesting mix of people from different creative fields, a diverse group of dreamers that we get to share the week with. Our hopes are that everyone will feel a sense of community and togetherness in creativity, that they will leave the villa with fond memories. That they see this week together in Tuscany as a sanctuary that allows each one of them to become their own muse.

We hope that the images we took together will fill you with inspiration, love from Linda and Malin in Tuscany.

Linda Eliasson and Malin Mörner moved separately in the enchanting world of wedding photography, where they each wove dreams through their own perspectives. As they welcomed their daughters around the same time (now 9 and 10 years old), they often found themselves awake in the middle of the night with their newborns. They became friends through correspondence until they finally met, on a tandem bike during a conference. Since they both had experienced generous mentorship and guidance from other women in their careers, they felt that they were ready to become the helping hands to others. Linking arms with each other makes us stronger.

In the vacuum of the pandemic, Linda and Malin felt that creatives were longing for connection, leading them to launch their workshop together. They shared a vision to create a space where people could feel freedom and purpose in creativity, with the chance to grow in harmony among women who collaborate rather than compete. Like riding a tandem bike, taking turns being the steering part, allowing the co-driver a moment of rest.

The first workshops they hosted focused mainly on photography but since the interest grew from all directions like ivy on a wall, they welcomed all creative fields. The workshops have since contained florists, decorators, cooks, stylists, and all individuals who wished to create. The participants themselves are the essence of what every workshops becomes; Linda and Malin always adapt the experience on a personal level, like tailoring a suit.

Ida Mattsson, one of the Swedish owners of the Villa Buonvisi, Tuscany, where the workshop has taken place several times, naturally became part of the creative journey. She joined Linda and Malin in the philosophy that creativity unites courage, passion, and strength. Every workshop is without prestige and allows the participant to dedicate themselves to what is joyful.

During the most recent workshop, the participants captured the local woman Luca and her daughter wearing nygårdsanna Archive pieces in the olive fields surrounding the Villa Buonvisi. They scouted the mother-daughter in a café during a day of relaxation in the city.

Linda and Malin are now moving towards the next step in their collaborative path: a creative production company named after themselves their daughters: Liv & Darcy.
They share a belief that there are many connections that are yet to be made, many dreams wating to be realised, and more women who, like themselves, who are longing for an open space, where they can feel the sincere sensation of community in creativity.
Their upcoming creative workshops will take place during the fall, click here to read more about the workshops and book your spot.

The nygårdsanna postcards are stories shared by our friends in different creative fields. The first one is sent to us from Tuscany, Italy, where we invite you to get to know the photographers Linda Liv Eliasson and Malin Darcy Mörner and the workshops they are hosting.
